Today’s #MindfulnessMonday post is all about clearing your mind. It’s one of the hardest things we try to do. As soon as someone says, “Clear your mind.” there are 1,000 things that immediately pop into it. Here’s one trick I learned years ago to help you focus.
Make sure to acknowledge whatever floats into your mind before you dismiss it. You can’t just push thoughts away because often times it brings them back stronger and nagging to be seen. By learning to acknowledge then move on you can start to apply it during competition. Mistakes and losses are acknowledged, learned from, and dismissed so your mind can then focus on present play.
Try the meditation below. Struggling? Try our #MindfulnessMonday Introduction to Mindfulness a couple of times first and come back to this.
