Award-Winning Archery Event Extends Foley Contract
The Archery Shooter’s Association and Foley Sports Tourism have signed a five-year contract extension to keep the Hoyt/Easton Pro/Am in Foley through 2031. The organizations will be celebrating the news by adding more to enhance the visitor experience during this year’s event February 19 – 21.
The partnership was recognized last year with a Sports Destination Management Champions of Economic Impact Award because it brought in $1.7 million and more than 2,300 room nights to the area. This came after the Pro/Am set an ASA attendance record in 2024. ASA President Josh Grine said a lot of that success comes from all that Foley has to offer.

“Extending the contract was an easy decision for ASA. Foley is our premier event site. Between the teams at Graham Creek, the Foley Event Center, and Foley Sports Tourism, the level of support in Foley is exceptional,” Grine said. “Over the years, these partnerships have grown into lasting friendships, and we genuinely look forward to returning to Foley each season. The local community, including hotels, restaurants, and other businesses, is among the best we work with throughout the year. Shooters, sponsors, and ASA staff all look forward to this event annually, and for many, it remains the highlight of the Pro/Am Tour.”
City of Foley Executive Director of Leisure Services, David Thompson said the continued success meant both organizations were excited to keep the competition right where it was.
“ASA has been an invaluable partner to Foley Sports Tourism for more than a decade,” Thompson said. “They understand our mission of giving visitors an unforgettable experience that will have them coming back again and again.”
All that success doesn’t have organizers resting on their laurels. This year to further enhance the fan experience there will be a kick-off party open to the public featuring food, fun, and a blind-draw cornhole tournament with cash payouts. It will all take place at the Foley Event Center February 19 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
“The kick-off party was created for several reasons. It has been nearly seven months since the ASA community was last together, and this event provides an opportunity to reconnect and kick off the new season,” Grine explained. “As our first event of the year takes place during shorter winter days, evening gatherings can be more challenging. By hosting a kick-off party, we are able to extend the day and create additional time for everyone to come together. We also hope the event supports the City of Foley by encouraging attendees to stay local and visit nearby shops and restaurants between the conclusion of the team shoot and the 6 p.m. opening at the Foley Event Center.”
Thompson said the party not only gives shooters a chance to mingle and catch up, it’s also an opportunity for Foley residents to engage with visitors that have made the city a regular stop.
“This party is a chance for our residents, who have been so welcoming to these competitors for so long, to now experience how welcoming those visitors can be in return,” Thompson said. “The ASA community is one of a kind and always looking to bring new people not just into their sport but into their archery family.”
The ASA Hoyt/Easton Pro/Am runs February 19 – 21. All of the competition, including the kick-off party, are free and open to the public. For more information on this or any FST event visit our events page.
