The City of Foley will once again be on a national stage as the Sun Belt Conference Women’s Soccer Championship comes to Foley Sports Tourism (FST) November 1 – 7.
The format for this year’s competition will be a single elimination with the bottom six seeds playing the first round and the top five seeds earning a bye until the quarterfinals. The University of South Alabama Jaguars will be looking for their their eighth championship in nine years, but there is stiff competition for the title.
All of the games will be streamed live on ESPN+ putting a national spotlight on Foley. The event is also allowing spectators into the FST Championship Stadium for free. FST Event Operations Coordinator Chad Raybon said this year’s competition will be one to watch.
“The Sun Belt Conference always brings excitement,” Raybon said. “As a University of South Alabama alum I always have high hopes for my alma mater, but every single game features incredible competition and sportsmanship. We are so thankful for our continued partnership with Sun Belt to be able to host the best college athletes, coaches, staff, and fans every year… but as a former Jaguar I may be slightly biased.”
The Sun Belt Women’s Soccer Championship kicks off at 1:30 p.m. on November 1. For a full schedule, visit the Sun Belt website. For more information on this or any FST event visit our events page.
