Sun Belt Conference Awards Foley Contract Extension
Posted byStephanie Donald
The Foley Sports Tourism Complex is excited to announce its continued partnership with the Sun Belt Conference. The conference has awarded Foley a two-year contract extension to host the women’s soccer championships in 2018 and 2019.
Sun Belt women’s soccer is no stranger to Foley, who hosted the championships in the fall of 2016. The South Alabama Jaguars won their third championship in as many years and will be shooting for a fourth in Foley in November of this year.
Executive Director Don Staley said the extension is a testament to all that Foley has to offer.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to continue our relationship with the Sun Belt Conference,” Staley said. “This contract extension lets us know how the coaches, players, and conference felt about our venue and our city. We will continue to extend our unique brand of Foley hospitality for years to come.”
The Sun Belt Conference is just as excited to return to Foley, so their athletes can do what they do best.
“The Sun Belt Conference and member institutions are excited to return to Foley and this state-of-the-art complex,” said Sun Belt Commissioner Karl Benson. “We look forward to continuing our relationship with the Foley Sports Tourism Complex as well as the city of Foley as we continue to provide our coaches and most importantly our student-athletes the best opportunity to showcase their talents,” added Benson.
The Sun Belt Conference Women’s Soccer Championships will take place at Foley Sports Tourism Complex from November 1 through November 5. For more information on this or any of our events, visit our events page.
