The Lower Alabama Volleyball Club is celebrating the season with their annual Junior Volleyball Association Spring Fling at the Foley Event Center March 19 – 20.
The competition is set to bring an estimated 60 girls club teams from Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, and Florida in age divisions ranging from 11 – 18. Tournament Director Kate Wood said part of the draw of the tournament is all there is to do off the court.
“Foley offers a great facility for play and is perfect for families to shop, dine, and have a good time when not in the gym,” Wood said. “And this year we are encouraging them to experience the city by having a free night at OWA’s Tropic Falls amusement park for all registered players and coaches Friday March 18.”
Foley Sports Tourism Event Operations Coordinator Chad Raybon said Lower Alabama Volleyball continues to be a strong partner for Foley.
“LAV understands it’s about more than sports with us,” Raybon said. “They want to make sure their participants get to see all the fun and interesting things there are to do around Foley. It’s those experiences in combination with top-tier competition that have teams circling events like Spring Fling on the calendar every year.”
The JVA Spring Fling runs all day both Saturday and Sunday and there is a $5 charge for admission. For more information on this tournament or any FST event visit our events page.
