The 2022 Southern Coast Cup presented by BSN Sports is returning to the FST Fields March 31 – April 2 and it’s bringing with it some of the best high school soccer teams in the country.
The competition has implications far beyond just the three-day tournament. Teams competing will be fighting to improve their Topdrawersoccer.com rankings and their chances at winning the coveted High School Cup.
Tournament Director Van Harper said they are expecting an estimated 84 girls and boys teams from Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and South Carolina in both varsity and junior varsity divisions. He said it’s a tournament that both the teams and the staff really enjoy.
“The complex, staff and everyone in Foley have been great partners with us since 2018,” Harper said. “It’s turned into our favorite trip each spring and we look forward to hosting the Southern Coast Cup for many years to come.”
Foley Sports Tourism Event Operations Coordinator Chad Raybon said it’s an exciting competition to host.
“We love seeing some of our local high schools take on teams they wouldn’t normally see throughout the season,” Raybon said. “You never know how things are going to turn out so it’s really enjoyable to watch.”
The 2022 Southern Coast Cup presented by BSN Sports runs Thursday and Friday evenings and all day Saturday. Tournament passes are $20 and can only be purchased online at gofan.co/HighSchoolCup. For more information on this competition or any FST event visit our events page.
