Playdate Marks Start of Spring Soccer

The spring club soccer season is ready to get underway and Snap Soccer knows there’s no better way to kick things off than with a Playdate.

The Snap Soccer Playdate, scheduled for February 5, is expected to draw about 80 girls and boys teams in age divisions ranging from U9-U14. Snap Soccer Operations Director Zack Touchstone said Playdates are the perfect way to ease into a new season.

“Playdates are more relaxed. It’s an environment to learn and hone your skills prior to tournaments or league games,” Touchstone explained. “It allows teams to try new formations as well as allows players to try new positions.”

Foley Sports Tourism Event Operations Coordinator Chad Raybon said it’s not just the players who use Playdates as a chance to welcome a new season.

“We are blessed to always have a busy spring season here at FST and a lot of those competitions are soccer competitions,” Raybon said. “Playdates are a chance for the staff to take stock and see what new things we can implement that season that can make us more efficient and improve the visitor experience.”

The Snap Playdate will run all day February 5. For more information on this or any FST event visit our events page.
