The field is set and seeded for the NIRSA National Soccer Championships at the new Foley Sports Tourism Complex in Foley, Alabama Nov. 17-20, 2016. It will be the first time Foley has hosted the national event, with 90 teams and 2,000 athletes expected to attend. Day and night play will take place on the 16 new state-of-the-art turf fields of the Foley Complex.
“We are so thrilled to host this quality national event for the first time here in Foley,” said the city’s Director of Sports Tourism, Don Staley. “We’ll have nearly the same number of mens and womens teams competing, and It’s truly a national event . . . teams will be here from the (U.S.) west coast, midwest, New England and of course throughout the south. It’s a great opportunity to welcome so many from such far reaching regions of the country and introduce many to our first rate facilities and south Alabama hospitality.”
