The Snap Soccer Shootout is coming to Foley!

Foley Sports Tourism is gearing up for two weekends packed with youth soccer. The Snap Soccer Shootout will be in town March 4-5 for the boys competition and March 11-12 for the girls competition.

Now in its ninth year, the Shootout has grown leaps and bounds, said event coordinator, John Guidroz.

“It started with less than 80 teams and now host over 200 spread over the two weekends,” Guidroz said. “The event is hosted by Perdido Bay FC and managed by Snap Soccer and attracts teams from Texas, Illinois, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and more. Last year we had over 34 divisions that competed in the Soccer Shootout.”

Guidroz is expecting more than 3,000 players and 8,000 spectators over the two-weekend event, helping bring dollars into the region.

The continued partnership between Snap Soccer and Foley Sports Tourism is something that Executive Director, Don Staley, believes will help keep the region’s economy moving.

“Snap Soccer has been an amazing partner,” Staley said. “They consistently bring competition to Foley almost every month. That’s an economic impact we can feel here in Foley.”
