Foley 14-year-Old Selected To Perform National Anthem At Sun Belt Championship

Fourteen-year-old Morgan Franklin has been selected to sing the National Anthem at the upcoming Sun Belt Women’s Soccer Championship Game at Foley Sports Tourism Complex.

“I’m grateful and honored for the opportunity to perform,” said Ms. Franklin. “I’m excited.”

The new Foley mega-complex is hosting its first ever Sun Belt Conference Championship tournament Nov. 2-6. Franklin will sing the Anthem prior to the Championship Game on Nov. 6.

   A Foley native, Morgan has a lifelong love of music and theater. To her credit are theatre performances in this year’s production of The Little Mermaid Jr. CenterStage Performance and Beauty and the Beast Jr. CenterStage Performance.

   Previous theatre experience includes the production of Annie Jr. by Eastern Shore Repertory Theatre, summer campEastern Shore Repertory Theatre productions of The Aristocats and 101 Dalmatians.

Morgan’s Music Performance Experience includes the 2016 Kids Karaoke, in which she earned a $650 scholarship as contest Champion in the 12 to 18 age group. She also has been a regular solo performer at Robertsdale Church of the Nazarene.
