Coastal Academy Cup Growth Continues

Snap Soccer’s Coastal Academy Cup returns to the FST Fields November 13 – 14 and this year they are bringing more teams than ever.

Tournament Director Zack Touchstone said the number of teams registered is over the 200 mark, which is up about 15% from last year. He said a lot of the growth is due to the late fall date.

“The timing of this event is perfect,” Touchstone said. “For a lot of teams this is their last event of the season. This being a primarily academy event also helps. Teams know they are going to see great competition and be paired up with the best competition for them!”

Girls and boys teams in U8 through U15 age divisions are expected to come from around the region. Foley Sports Tourism Event Operations Coordinator Chad Raybon said the Cup is a big opportunity for FST.

“We are excited to see the continued growth of the Coastal Academy Cup,” Raybon explained. “But it’s also an opportunity to continue to build on that growth. We are always working closely with Snap Soccer to find what more we can do to not only keep teams coming back, but draw even more in the future.”

The Coastal Academy Cup runs all day November 13 – 14 and there is $5 charge for admission. For more information on this tournament or any FST event visit our events page.
