November is definitely a month for soccer at the Foley Sports Tourism Complex. Snap Soccer’s Coastal Academy Cup rolls into town November 18 to 19.
The month kicked off with the Sun Belt Conference Women’s Soccer Championships and the Alabama Soccer Association’s State Cup. The tandem brought more than 5,000 visitors to Foley. The Coastal Academy Cup will be on a smaller scale but still boasts an impressive 90 registered teams.
The event will feature both boys and girls teams with divisions ranging from U9 to U16. The tournament will be a fun event for the teams as they didn’t have to qualify to get here and they aren’t playing for berth in another competition.
That will give teams the chance to truly enjoy their time in Foley, something Tournament Director John Guidroz said is the reason Snap Soccer continues to book events at the complex.
“The FSTC allows for all the games to be in the same location, on amazing fields, with easy access to OWA, Tanger Outlets, and the beach,” Guidroz said.
Spectators are invited to check out the Coastal Academy Cup. There won’t be a charge for admission but there will be a $5 per car charge for parking.
