The Hall of Fame Volleyball Classic, hosted by Deep South Volleyball, returns to the Foley Event Center January 8 – 9 to kick off the new season and New Year.
Tournament Director Phillip Bryant said they are expecting more than 100 boys and girls club teams over the two-day event from all over the USA Volleyball Gulf Coast Region (GCR). Bryant said the event was the first GCR tournament held in Foley and the partnership with Foley Sports Tourism is part of why it continues to grow.
“The Foley Event Center and the City of Foley make youth sports and hosting as a partner important. They are always seeing that each event is staffed and mastered with the highest of expectations and success,” Bryant said. “This is our 6th year hosting in the Foley Event Center. We were the first volleyball tournament to host in the event center in 2016 when the doors opened and it has been awesome to watch our region grow and players become more talented in the sport of volleyball due to our GCR partnership with Foley Sports Tourism.”
FST Event Operations Coordinator Meagan McVicker said the entire staff truly values the partnership with GCR and can’t wait to jump into a new season.
“The Hall of Fame Classic is always an exciting tournament,” McVicker said. “It marks a new beginning and helps us think of new ways to make the upcoming competitions better than ever.”
The Hall of Fame Classic runs all day both Saturday and Sunday. There is a $5 charge for admission. For more information on this or any FST event visit our events page.
